The Finnish Society of Surgery
The Finnish Society of Surgery serves as the roof organization for all the surgeons in Finland. The society was founded in 1925 and it has currently 1340 members.The purpose of the society is to promote surgical knowledge, skills and research in Finland. The society organizes meetings and lectures and is involved in the international surgical forums. It provides information, announcements, publications as well as requested statements on the surgical field. Furthermore, the society financially supports the national and international education of the members.
